How to enable MTD VAT Submissions as a Partner

This guide explains how to enable MTD VAT submissions in Clear Books.

Please make sure to run through our MTD onboarding Wizard before attempting your first VAT submission.

Step 1.

Navigate to Settings > Configure system > Toggle Features and click on the VAT & bank import tool tab.

Step 2. 

Add a tick to the check box to enable both the Online VAT filing and MTD VAT Submission options.

Under the Representation select My Tax Agent submits my VAT returns through their Clear Books Partner account.

If you choose the I submit my own VAT returns option, the client will need to run through the MTD onboarding process.
