This guide helps explain how to create a new client account and then link this to a Clear Books Micro account. Once the link is complete, transactions created in real time on your client account will be reflected in the Clear Books Micro account and vice versa.


If you have an existing client account that you would like to link to a Clear Books Micro account, please skip to Step 8.

Step 1.


Login to Clear Books.


Step 2.


Click on the Partner module in the top menu bar.



Step 3.


Head to the Clients > Client overview menu.




Step 4.


Click on the Add Clear Books client button.


Step 5.


Select the Clear Books Practice Edition as the Account type.



Step 6.


Register the new client account.



Step 7.


Once the account is registered it should appear in the list on the Clients > Client overview menu. Click on the Manage license link under the Actions column.



Step 8.


Back on the Clients > Client overview menu on the Partners module, click on the Invite link under the Actions column.



Step 9.


Type in the email address the client used to register their Clear Books Micro account and hit the Invite button.



The customer will receive an email to accept the link. 


In addition to this, the client will need to log in to their Clear Books Micro account and click on the Accept your invitation button.



Once this link is accepted, the Clear Books Micro status on the Clients > Client overview menu will be updated to Linked.


Please Note: Clients cannot be invited as a user on the Practice Edition account.
