It's easy to set up personalised shortcuts to get fast access to the most important areas of Clear Books or to action the most popular tasks.
Navigate to the Settings > Configure System > Toggle features menu.
Click on the Features tool tab in the box on the left.
and ensure that Keyboard Shortcuts are enabled.
Navigate to Settings > Organisation > Details & Tax > Keyboard Shortcuts.
To add a new shortcut rule click Add New Shortcut. Select the function for the rule from the drop-down menu. Next, click the record button and press the key combination required to set the keys for the shortcut. The corresponding key presses will appear in the text field to the left of the record button. Finally, choose whether or not the shortcut will be disabled when entering data into forms by ticking the Disable in form check box. This is particularly useful when defining a single key as a shortcut.
Define as many shortcuts as desired, and it is even possible to assign multiple different shortcuts to the same function.
When all of the required keyboard shortcut rules have been made, click the Confirm changes button at the bottom of the page to save the new settings. To test the new shortcut rules, navigate away from the Keyboard Shortcuts page (where keyboard shortcuts are disabled) and try them out within your Clear Books account.
